We are so excited for the first issue of WEFT!

The plain weave issue of WEFT (the very first issue!) is full of everything you might want to know about this simple and versatile structure. From language to execution to testing to experimentation, this issue is thorough and beautiful. A range of talented and brilliant authors put plain weave through the paces. Through the lens of plain weave, this issue delves deep into denting, sett, “permanent” creases, draw-in, take-up, shrinkage, combining different fiber types, adding texture, perfect selvedges, the effects of yarn’s twist direction, and so much more.
